Greg Padgett
Manager-Funeral Service Licensee
Greg Padgett is a native of Duplin County. He grew up working in the family owned funeral business. After graduating from Wallace Rose Hill High School in 1977, he attended Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, NC. After receiving his associate degree in Funeral Service he returned to Wallace, NC and worked at Padgett Funeral Home until he and his wife Felecia moved to Hope Mills in September of 2010. Greg has thirty-five years-experience in the funeral business.

Kenneth Register
Funeral Service Licensee
Kenneth is a life-long resident of Hope Mills. He is married to Patricia and they have two sons Bradley and Matthew. He is a graduate of the Fayetteville Technical Community College Mortuary Science program in 1991 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree. He is an active member of the Haymount United Methodist Church.

Ken Porter
Former Owner Hamilton-Porter, Funeral Director Emeritus
On April 30, 2009, Kenneth and Evelyn Porter, owners of Hamilton-Porter Funeral Home took pride in the merger of the 91 year-old funeral establishment with that of Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation services.
Kenneth, a lifelong resident of Hope Mills and Evelyn from Ridgeland, SC continue serving the funeral industry by being a part of the Pinecrest family.
Kenneth previously retired from the US Army as an Infantry Colonel and having served as a combat veteran of the Korean War and is a retiree of the State of North Carolina after service in both the Department of Transportation and Office of Emergency Medical Service. Evelyn retired from the Cumberland County Public School System.
They have two sons, Dr. Ken. Porter, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Steve Porter, an attorney in Wilmington, NC; a grandson and granddaughter.
Kenneth and Evelyn reside at the location of the Porter homestead where he and his three brothers were raised. One brother, Percy, joined the Hamilton-Porter Funeral Home during the early 1940’s and retained until his death in 2008.

Felecia Padgett
Administrator/Funeral Director
Felecia Padgett is a native of Duplin County. After graduating from East Duplin High School, she attended James Sprunt Community College and received a degree in Applied Medical Science. After working in the medical profession for thirty years, she decided to make a career change and began working at Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace, NC with her husband Greg. In September 2010 they relocated to Hope Mills. She is presently working as the administrator of Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services and attending Fayetteville Technical Community College to become a Funeral Director. Her greatest joy in life is spending time with her grandchildren Leah and Devin.

Sherry Ferguson
Administrative Assistant
Sherry graduated with honors from Hope Mills High School. She married Robert Ferguson in 1967 and they have one married daughter Teresa. Teresa and her husband Jimmy have a son Collin.
Sherry has volunteered with the PTA and tutored students for 7 years; she also serves as a volunteer with Relay for Life, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Friends of Cancer, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, and the Alms House.
Sherry actively supports the Methodist Home for Children. She attends Cotton United Methodist Church in Hope Mills and her hobbies include reading, playing video games with her grandson, jigsaw puzzles, and puttering in the yard.
Although widowed, the greatest joy in her life is spending time with her loving family.

Melvin Dove
Funeral Service Attendant
Melvin is a life-long resident of Hope Hills. He graduated from Hope Mills High School in the Class of 1949. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He is married to the former Juanita Byrd. They have a daughter, Denise Hall who serves as the media supervisor for the Gallberry Farms Elementary School; a grand-daughter Elizabeth Hall who is presently a student at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, and their son-in-law James Hall, III who is a Captain for US Airways.
Melvin has served as a Hope Mills Town Commissioner. He presently serves as Chairman of the Hope Mills Zoning Board. He is a board member of the Friends of Hope Mills Lakes.
He and his wife are member have been members of the Highland Baptist Church for over 50 years. He is Past Master of the Lebanon Lodge and member of the Sudan Shrine.
Melvin retired from the recycling business after 52 years.

Jimmy Jackson

Jimmy retired with 35 years service as a Safety Officer with N.C.D.O.T. He had worked for the last 9 years for Hamilton-Porter Funeral Home and came over to Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services with the merger of the two firms.
His wife's name is Linda, they have two daughters; Cynthia and her husband Dr. Allen Collins, and Audrey Jackson. They also have two grandchildren Ashley and Katie Collins.

Ronald Loftis
Funeral Service Attendant
Ronald W. Loftis is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. His family moved to the Hope Mills area when he was 10 years old.
Ronald is a graduate of Hope Mills Highs School, Class of 1949. After attending NCSU for two years Ronald married Libby Collins in 1952, a fellow Hope Mills High School graduate. They are the parents of four grown, married children and are the grandparents of 9 grandchildren.
After working as an engineer for the NC Dept. of Transportation, Ronald was ordained as a Baptist minister, a position he held until retiring at the end 2006. He graduated from UNC-Pembroke in 1970, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1974 with a Master of Divinity Degree and again in 1984 with a Dr. of Ministry degree.
In addition to serving as a pastor, Ronald has been a Home Missionary for his denomination, a member of the Staff of the North American Mission Board (SBC), a Director of Christian Social Ministries for the New South River Association in Fayetteville, NC, Director of Missions for the Robeson Baptist Association in Lumberton, NC, and as an Ad Hoc Professor of Religion at UNCP for the past 21 years.
He has served in partnership missions for his denomination, making six mission trips to Sao Paulo, Brazil and one to the Island of Grenada.
He has been a member of the Masonic Lodge in Hope Mills for 50 years, served as Past Master and Certified Lecturer of Lebanon Lodge No. 391 in Hope Mills, and is a 32nd degree Mason and member of York Rite Lodge in Wilmington, NC

Jim Clouston
Funeral Service Attendant
James Douglas Clouston was born on June 4, 1942 in Bradley, Ohio. He is the youngest of nine children of the late Robert Linton and Mary Clouston of Bradley, Ohio.
After high school, Jim was employed by the FBI in Washington, D.C., he was later employed by the Metropolitan Police Department of, Washington D.C. While working for the FBI, he met his future bride, Corinna Barbour, who was also employed by the FBI. They were married and later moved to Fayetteville where Corinna had grown up. Jim became a student, attending Fayetteville Technical Community College graduating with a degree in electronics. He was then employed by Sears as an Electronics Technician. Some years later he became employed as the Assistant Director for the Cape Fear Criminal Justice Planning Region. He was eventually promoted and became the Director of the Lumber River Criminal Justice Planning Region until such time as the program became defunct due to lack of federal funding. For several years Jim was involved in sales. His last employment revolved around design/installation of video/sound systems for churches as well as corporate businesses.
Jim has a daughter, Tammy and her husband Troy Wojtal; a son Derrick and his wife Heather; 3 grandchildren, Stephen and Daniel Wojtal and Baron Clouston.
Upon his retirement at age 62, Jim became involved in insurance/annuity sales on a part-time basis.
Jim was very instrumental in organizing/directing a Community Watch Program for the surrounding community in which he resides. He was also very involved with coaching Little League Baseball during the years his son was growing up.
Jim has been a member of the Stoney Point Baptist Church since July 1986 and has actively served as a Deacon, Trusteee, Awana Program Leader, Sunday School Teacher, Usher, Building and Grounds Committee (new building construction), Bazaar, etc..... He loves the Lord and is always willing to serve his Master in any capacity possible.
Jim also enjoys working in his yard and garden. Seeing the beauty of God's handywork through nature has brought him hours of countless pleasure.
The light of his life was becoming a grandfather. There are not enough words to describe how much he adores his grandchildren. They bring much joy and happiness to his life. Jim has one desire is that is that he lives long enough for his grandchildren to remember him. This weighs heavy on his heart because he lost his father at the age of 2 and cannot remember anything about him.

Rodney Britt

Rodney is a lifelong resident of Fayetteville. He grew up in the Haymount area and attended Terry Sanford High School. He is married to the former Elaine McMillan and they have two sons, Rodney II, who is married to the former Angela Bullard of Vander, and Christopher, who is married to the former Virginia Vian of Eastover. Rodney and Elaine have six grandchildren.
Rodney served with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department for ten years before going to work at Goodyear Tire & Rubber, from which he retired with 27 years of service. He was with Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home for five years before joining the staff of Pinecrest.
Rodney and Elaine are members of Praise Fellowship Church of God (former C & Adams Street Church of God) where the couple met 38 years ago.

Russell Anderson

Russell V. Anderson is a long time native of Hope Mills, NC. He graduated from Hope Mills High School in 1960. He is married to Faye Lewis Anderson. They have four children and four grandchildren.
Russell retired from Fayetteville Fire Department after thirty years of service. He has ten years experience in the funeral industry. He and his wife Faye attend Hope Mills Church of God.
