Lawrence ("Larry") William Milton, 73, passed away on November 10, 2022.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, John Kerchner and Vera Hartig Kerchner, his brother Thomas "Tommy" Milton, and his sister Linda Graham.
A wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, Larry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sandra Milton, son Anthony William Milton and wife Jennifer, grandson Tyler James Milton and precious furbaby Maggie Mae. Larry was born in Evansville, IN on October 29th, 1949. He enlisted and served as a Seaman in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS F.D. Roosevelt from 1969 to 1971 and then served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1993, retiring from active service as a Sergeant First Class. Larry had an illustrious military career serving two tours in Germany and earned numerous accolades. Following his retirement from active service, he became a top salesman at Bob Swope Ford in Elizabethtown, KY. In 2006, he moved with his wife to Fayetteville, North Carolina to be near his son and family. At home, Larry was rarely seen without a lapdog, having been lucky enough to share his home with Radar, Ginger and Maggie Mae. An avid football fan and travel enthusiast, in his retirement Larry never missed a chance to cheer on his Indianapolis Colts or take a cruise with his wife, Sandy.
A memorial service will be held at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services on Saturday, November 19th, 2022 at 1pm. Visitation with the family will occur prior to the service from 12pm to 1pm.
