Born in Providence, RI, Alice was the daughter of the late John and Lena Gonsalves.
She is survived by her husband, Julian Barnes; daughter, Debbi Sinclair and her husband Harry; daughter, Lisa Melvin and husband Mark; granddaughter, Brittany Melvin and fiancé Peter Gunyan; granddaughter, Courtney Melvin; sister, Betty Harney; sister, Shirley Rego; and brother, Joe Gonsalves.
Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
