Arel Barnhill

Arel Alton Barnhill, 68, of Clinton, entered into his heavenly home Friday, June 23, 2017 in Hope Mills.

Born June 16, 1949 in Bladen County, Arel was the son of the late Henry Beamon and Norma Jane Barnhill.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Walters Barnhill. Seven children, Melinda Wood, Melissa Mitchell, Merassa Rawald, Story Diane Bear, Derek Barnhill, Deedra Coram and Mandy Tatum. Four Step-children, Shannon Jacobson, Brandi Brown, Reggie Parnell and Jessica Fields. Twenty-two grand children and three great grand children. Brothers, Larry Barnhill and Tony Barnhill. Sister, Kathy Lane. Also his dogs, Rowdy and Prissy.

He was a member of Mt. Carmel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Dunn where he sang in the choir.

He was a paint contractor in the Fayetteville area for 35+ years. He was a lover of horses. A special one to him was Lacey. He also loved cars, music and fishing.

He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
