Barbara Copeland

Barbara Ann Copeland passed away from a lengthy illness at the age of 85 on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Autumn Care Nursing Facility in Fayetteville, NC.

Born in 1931 in Kalamazoo, MI, Barbara met her husband, James Copeland while working in the Navy Building in Washington, DC. They married in 1953 and were happily married until James' death in 2009.

Barbara and James lived in many areas including Cincinnati, OH, Rochester Hills, Cheboygan and Otsego, MI, Rockford and Chicago, IL, Canton and Malone, NY, North Fort Meyers, FL, and Fayetteville, NC. Barbara was an avid bridge player, she was well read, loved puzzles, dancing, singing and laughing. She was loved by her family and friends.

Surviving Barbara are her three daughters, Susan and Larry Siwek of Rochester Hills, MI, Janet and Max Carter of Fayetteville, NC, and Nancy and Tom Stahl of Deerfield, MI. Barbara had seven grandchildren, Laura Pettengill, Andrea Gorbatoff, Bradley Wing, Robert Wing, Andrew Stahl, Laura (Stahl) Kohlman, and Amy Stahl. Also survived by nine great grandchildren, Scott Kohlman, Clint Kohlman, Katie Dusablon, Courtney Dusablon, Cole Dusablon, Gray Gorbatoff, Bennett Gorbatoff, Sophie Gorbatoff, and AJ Wing.

Barbara will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
