Basil "Buddy" Everton Bolton, Jr.

Basil "Buddy" Everton Bolton, Jr. passed peacefully in his home on Friday, April 21, 2023.

Basil was born on Nov. 17, 1958 to Elizabeth Brisson Bolton and the late Basil Everton Bolton, Sr. in Hope Mills, NC.

He is survived by the love of his life, Yoly Anderson, son, William Bolton, 2 daughters, Marie Smith (JL), Marinda Underwood (Michael); mother, Elizabeth Brisson Bolton; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Ann Bolton, Sharon Rickman (Rick), Rita Lucile Bolton; 5 grandchildren, Justin Moore (Morgan), Brianna Taylor (Matthew), Jessi Moore, Jay Jose Smith, Adam Smith, nephew, Ryan Rickman (Rebecca), great niece, Ryleigh Rickman; 3 great grandchildren with 1 expected in June and special friend Kathy Farley.

He is preceded in death by his father, Basil Everton Bolton, Sr.

Basil worked for over 35 years at Black and Decker.  When they closed the doors he decided to further his education at FTCC, where he studied carpentry.  After graduation he became employed at RHA Health Services where he stayed for almost 15 years.

When Basil wasn't working he enjoyed tending to his farm on the tractor, vacations to the mountains, fishing at the beach and espicially spending time with his family.  Basil always had a smile on his face and a laugh that was contagious.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

On behalf of the family we want to thank Tina Walters for not only how well she cared for Basil, but also taking on household responsibilities so we could have more time with him.  We know this was no easy task, however, you went above and beyond with your hard work and dedication.
