George Hill, Jr.

George William Hill, Jr., 67, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Born November 5, 1950 in Durham, NC, he was the son of the late George W. Hill, Sr. and Margaret Carpenter Hill.

George served in the U.S. Army for 12 years from 1973 to 1986. During his years of service, he achieved the rank of Captain and received numerous medals and commendations.

George is survived by his wife, Lilian; children, Windy Hill, and Michael and Gillian Gabol; sisters, Louise Newton and her husband Charles, and Kathy Faires and her husband Bob; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
