James Francis Hardin, 47, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019.

James was born on October 4, 1971 in Clare, Michigan, and was preceded in death by his parents, Linda and David Parsons.

James was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Becoming a drill sergeant during his eight year military career, James served in Haiti, Germany, and Operation Desert Storm. After his service to his country, he would work diligently with several finance companies before becoming Assistant Vice President of the Southeast NC Region at Mariner Finance in Fayetteville. He was also a mason and member of John Huske Anderson Lodge 731 in Fayetteville.

James leaves to cherish his memory his life partner, Jeff H.; daughter Antoinette Thurman and husband Ricky; son, Michael Shephard and wife Tiffany; brother, Charles Hardin and wife Tammy; sister, Elizabeth Hardin; brother, David Rhoades and wife Elizabeth; sister, Melissa Parsons; father, Charles W. Hardin; three grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

James will be forever remembered and greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
