SGT JaVaughn Taye Dunham, 21 of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
Born August 23, 2001 in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Germany, JaVaughn is the son of Mack Dunham, Jr. and Dena Dunham.
After eventually relocating to Fayetteville, JaVaughn attended Douglas Byrd High School. During high school, he became a dedicated member of the Army ROTC. He graduated in 2019 and shortly after joined the Armed Forces, accomplishing one of his greatest achievements by becoming a US Army Tanker. He was currently stationed at Fort Bliss in Texas.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Mack Dunham, Sr; grandmother, Clara Dunham; uncle, Maxie Dunham, Sr.; aunt, Ethel Dunham; and uncle, Alfred Dunham.
His memory will be cherished by his father, Mack Dunham, Jr.; mother Dena Dunham; sister, Kiara Dunham; grandmother, Selena Coulter; uncle, Danny Guess and wife Michelle; aunt, Sheila Manier and husband Jeremy; aunt, Ella DeWitt; aunt, Queenie Greene and husband Alfred; uncle, Johnny Dunham, Sr.; aunt, Wanda Dunham and husband Jimmy; aunt, Vanessa Dunham; uncle, Joseph Dunham and wife Paulette; special cousins, Allison Manier, Morgan Manier, and Matthew Dunham and wife Tecali; as well as several other cousins and a host of other family and friends.
JaVaughn was a known prankster with a contagious laugh and a heart of gold. He loved the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, gaming, listening to music, but most of all, just hanging with his family.
JaVaughn was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend and all-around caring and giving person. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
