Jean Brady

Mrs. Jean Hammond Brady, 86, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, February 07, 2017 at her home surrounded by family.

Born May 19, 1930 in Fayetteville, Jean was the daughter of the late Dallas Hammond and Lonnie Mae Cox.

She retired in 1999 from Child Nutrition of Cumberland County Schools after 27 years.

Along with her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Otho Richard Brady; son, Kenneth Edward Brady; 6 sisters; and 8 brothers.
She is survived by her son, Richard Keith Brady and his wife Deborah of Winnabow; daughter, Karen Brady Plummer and Franklin of Fayetteville; son, James Kevin Brady and his wife Megan of Kernersville; Kenneth Brady's beloved companion Marlana Strickland of Hope Mills; sister, Betty Joyce Braswell of Laurinburg; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Services will be private.

Jean will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
