Jimmy Ray Everson, 65 of Hope Mills, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in his home with family by his side.
Born October 24, 1958 in Fayetteville, Jimmy was the son of the late Ray Jay Everson and Lillie Belle Howard Everson.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Everson; son, William Ray Everson; daughter, Rebecca Castro Velazquez and husband Waldemar; son, Robert Everson; daughter, Bonnie Strauch; sister, Angie Lanier and husband David; sister, Jennifer Cross and husband Greg; four grandchildren, Lillian, Ivy, Skyla, and Boris; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Jimmy was known by everyone as a dedicated and hard worker who liked to stay busy. He worked with Goodyear for 40 years before finally deciding to retire. In his off time, he loved going to the beach or spending time in the mountains whenever he could. He enjoyed fishing, riding horses, and most importantly, simply hanging out with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
