John Rixon

John Allan Rixon, 62 of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018, surrounded by family.

Born in San Jose , California, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth Stevens Rixon. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Susan Rixon.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Somporn Rixon of Fayetteville; daughters; Merryann Werley of Sheffield Village, OH, and Michelle Sams (Jonathan) of White Sulphur Springs, West VA; a son, Alexander Steinkopf of Fayetteville; a sister, Patricia Gilbert (Steve) of Minden, NV and six grandchildren, Alexis and Emily Werley, Waylon, Josie, and Colton Sams and Dylan Tomkinson.

Mr. Rixon retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service, as an aircraft maintenance technician. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and vacationing with family. He also enjoyed antiquing and fishing. He was a lifelong beer aficionado since his teenage years.

He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
