John Sponhouse

John William Sponhouse, 68 of Fayetteville, died May 27, 2017.

Born in South Williamsport, PA, he was the son of Joanna Filman Merrick and the late Joseph Sponhouse.

He is survived by his soul mate of 35 years, Sherry Knehans of Fayetteville; daughters, Katina Parent & husband Kenny of Columbia, SC and Amanda Harter & husband Gary of Fayetteville; sons, William Barto and Michael Barto; his mother, Joanna Merrick; and a sister, Mary Poust, all of Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

John loved to fish, spending time with his grandchildren, and play scratch off lottery tickets. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
