Joseph Zielinsky

Joseph "Joe" Michael Zielinsky, devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died Friday, 24 February 2017, at the age of 70 after a long time battle with illness.

Joe was born in Detroit, Michigan, on February 12,1947, the eldest of four children born to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Sever) Zielinsky. Joe graduated from Walsh College with a degree in Accounting. He made his career working for the Department of Defense as a Commissary Officer and retired in 2007 after 23 years of dedicated service. He not only took pride in his work, but truly relished the friends and memories he made during his career.

Joe was united in marriage over 32 years ago to his loving wife, Cindy (Grime) and together they were blessed with three beautiful children who he loved and cherished. Joe also has wonderful children from his previous marriage who he loved and cherished.

Joe will forever be remembered and survived by his loving and devoted wife, Cindy (Grime), cherished children, Marc Zielinsky, Lora (Jay) Zielinsky-Goodman, Jennifer (Matt) Payne, Jeff (Lisa) Zielinsky, and Elizabeth (Brian) Hileman, 14 grand-children, and 4 great-grandchildren, loved brother, Dennis (Brenda) Zielinsky, caring long-time family friends Jessica Bullock and Daniel family, and countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him.

Joe had a passion for animals in particular St. Bernards and for years traveled and showed them professionally. Joe also loved to travel, work on his cars, listening to oldies, sci-fi, being a class-clown, and being with his family and his lap dog, Loosey.

Joe touched the lives of many people with his smile and fun-loving personality, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. He will be truly missed by all the many he has touched in his lifetime.
