Kelly Jackson Ammons, Sr., 67 of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
Born on April 11, 1955 in Sampson County, Kelly was the son of the late Kelly Edward Ammons and Ruthie Evelyn Goodman Ammons. He was also preceded in death by his son, Kelly Jackson Ammons, Jr., formerly of Fayetteville; and his brothers, Gary Wayne Ammons, Marvin Dexter Ammons, Ricky Carlos Ammons, James Earl Goodman, and Sherman Edward Ammons, all formerly of Sampson County.
Kelly is survived by his wife, Terrie Ammons of Fayetteville; son, Brett Morris and his wife Derissa of Hope Mills; daughter, Stephannie Truesdale of Winnsboro, SC and her five children, Stephen, Tyler, Gregory, Bradley, and Victoria Rose; grandsons, Kaileb Morris and Ethan Kelly Ammons, Jr.; a great grandson and great granddaughter; and a sister, Linda Jarman, an aunt, Edith Carter, as well as several cousins, all of Sampson County.
Kelly was a dedicated commercial truck driver for over 30+ years and enjoyed being with his family and friends in his spare time. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
