Retired SSG Martha Ann Enzor, LPN, age 65 of Fayetteville, died February 1, 2018, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Born February 15, 1952 in Wake County, Martha was the daughter of the late Rev. Wesley M. and Ruth Brisson Enzor, Sr.
She is survived by three sisters, Linda R. Enzor Manson of Franklinton, Dr. Harriet L. Enzor of Buies Creek and Sue E. Yager and husband John of Raleigh. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; Josh, Jon and Andrew Manson, Ellie Sukkestad and husband David and daughter Sophie, Richy Castellanos, Harriet Elizabeth Enzor, Jennifer and Meredith Yager.
Martha was retired from the US Army National Guard after 20 years of service. She served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, (1990-1991) in Iraq and Bosnia (1997-1998). During her years of service, she received various Awards of Achievement and Recognition to include the NATO Metal for Service with NATO on Operations in Relation to the Former Yugoslavia, Multinational Division (N) for outstanding contribution to the successful Peace Enforcement Operation, Regimental Support Squadron 2nd Armored Cavalry, Guardian Base Gospel Service, The Army Achievement Metal, The Army Commendation Medal, 7th Transportation Battalion Operation Desert Shield/Storm, 1st Corps Support Command Saudi Arabia. She received the title of Honorary Recruiter in recognition of her outstanding contribution of the North Carolina National Guard Recruiting Mission and Certified Life Membership of the North Carolina National Guard Association.
She received Certification of Service, Rowan County, Sherriff's Department; Certificate of Merit, Greater Erwin Jaycees; Certificate of Appreciation, Breakfast Optimist Club, Raleigh, NC.
Martha is a graduate of UNC-Pembroke with a BS in Biology. She completed her Practical Nursing Education from Central Carolina Community College and is a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Her interest included the completion of Helicopter Repair, US Army Aviation Center and Student Pilot Certificate, Wendell/Knightdale Airport.
She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
