Mary Virginia Plato Madden

Mary Virginia Madden, age 91, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on February 15, 2024. She is the daughter of the late William Ward Plato and Margaret Bowles Plato.

She enjoyed travelling, reading, and loved her grandchildren.

She left behind to cherish her memory her children, Mary Catherine Madden Black-Finke and husband Carl, William Earl Madden, Leon Madden, Gene David Madden and wife Brenda; grandchildren, David Shane Madden and wife Emily, Amanda McAllister and husband Mark, and Dana Madden; Great grandchildren, Kegan McAllister, Ella McAllister, Marshall Madden, Ava McAllister; daughter-in-heart, Debbie Tyson, her husband Craig and their children, Amanda Smith and Leanna Britt; Several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her brothers, Waite Francis Plato, Miller Wilson Plato, and Eugene Arthur Plato.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, in her honor.
