Newton Eugene Skipper, 84 of Hope Mills, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at his residence.
Born in Coffee County GA, he was the son of the late Bertie Melvin and Martha Rynes Skipper. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Hattie Mae Britt Skipper, the mother of his children; a daughter, Geraldine Skipper; a son, Melvin Skipper; 3 sisters, and 5 brothers.
He is survived by his wife Rose; daughters, Patty Maxwell & husband Tommy of Thomson, GA, Patricia Litteral & husband Ronald of Hope Mills; a son, David Skipper & wife Rhonda of Coats; step children, Otis Bryant & wife Catherine of Parkton and Tina of Parkton; 17 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Mr. Skipper was a retired truck driver. He was a minister and enjoyed reading the bible and playing cards on Friday night.
He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
