Oscar Davis

Oscar Ray Davis 78 of Hope Mills passed away Friday September 28, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Born in Bladen County he was the son of the late Oscar Thad and Kate Nance Davis. He was also preceded in death by a son, Anthony Ray Davis and seven siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Canady Davis; a son, Kenneth Davis & wife B.J. of Hope Mills; 2 grandchildren, Patricia Lynn Brown of Fayetteville and Jonathan Wayne Davis of Hope Mills; one brother, Maurice Douglas "Dick" Davis & wife Alice of Hope Mills.

Mr. Davis was a retired member of the Grays Creek Fire Department where he served as assistant chief.

Some of his hobbies include whittling.

He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
