Rachel Livermore

Rachel Livermore, 89, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022.
Born in St. Pauls, Rachel is the daughter of the late Grover & Cora Baxley Odom.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Stephen Wilbanks.  They moved to Grays Creek around 1940 to a farm on Odom Road & Chicken Foot Road.  She was a long time member of Green Springs Baptist Church in Parkton.
She graduated Gray's Creek High School in 1951.
She married A. F. Wilbanks in July of 1955 and moved to California.  She remarried Ray Livermore in March of 1968.
Rachel had various jobs during her lifetime.  She was considered one of the great ladies of the south for her fabulous cooking and decorating.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 53 years, Ray; daughter, Linda L. Wilbanks; grandsons, Chris & Nick Wilbanks; many nieces and nephews; and lots of close friends.
A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services of Hope Mills. The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 7 p.m.  Interment will be Monday, February 7, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.
