Rebecca Whitt

Rebecca Bruton Whitt, 76, of Fayetteville, died May 5, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Born on December 29, 1940 in Durham County, she was the daughter of the late Aldridge and Carrie Lou Ray.

Along with her parents, Rebecca iwa preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bruton, Sr.; daughter, Wendy Gail Bruton, brother, Ben Ray; and three sisters, Joyce Bruton, Janet Ray, and Sally Houck.

She is survived by her son, Charles "Chuck" Bruton, Jr. of Fayetteville; daughters, Kim Dick and Janie Maxwell, both of Fayetteville; sister, Carolyn Smith and husband Jimmy of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, David Dick, Jr., Chuckie Bruton, Jessica Jonsson and husband Sean, Brittany McFayden and husband Matt, and Taylor Bruton; and fivegreat grandchildren, Riley and Reece Mainville, Gemma and Lydia Jonsson, and Ian McFayden.

Rebecca will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
