Retha Elmore

Retha Mae Gardner Elmore, 84 of Hope Mills, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022.

Born August 27, 1937 in Harnett County, Retha is the daughter of the late Turner and Retha Frances Smith Gardner.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Elmore and a sister, Virginia Gardner.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Lynne Frazier and Ann Hughes; grandsons, Christopher Frazier & wife Bethany and Joshua Hughes; sister, Gaynelle Holder; brothers, Alfred Gardner and Norfleet Gardner & wife Barbara; and a host of other family and friends.

Retha enjoyed reading her Bible, singing, crafting, camping, and spending time with her family.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hillside Baptist Church, PO Box 340, Hope Mills, NC 28348.
