Sharray Malika Paul

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved one, Sharray Malika Paul, who passed away on May 16, 2024, at the age of 28. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Clyde Cooper. Sharray, as she was fondly known, was born on April 18, 1996, in Fayetteville NC to Rawle Paul & Shammain Paul. In addition to her parents, she is also survived by a daughter, Samaya Michelle Paul-Wright; her sibling, Sierra Paul; uncles, Keion Paul, Tynsley Paul, Jeremy Cooper, Doug Cooper, and Garbriel Simon; grandparents, Hyacinth Cooper, Juliet Richard Simon, and Matthew Paul. godparents, Rhondell and Natasha Edwards; her best friend, Zypria Allen, and a host of other relatives and friends.

 She grew up in Fayetteville, NC alongside her sibling, Sierra Paul and attended N.C. A&T State University where she graduated with a degree in Animal Science.

 Sharray was a loving sister, daughter, mother, niece, and friend, always willing to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. Her warm personality, infectious smile, and generous heart made her an instant favorite among all who knew her. She had a passion for animals, which she learned from her father growing up, which she also shared with her family and friends. 

 Despite facing many challenges in her life, Sharray remained resilient and persevered through it all. She was a fighter till the end and her unwavering faith in God was an inspiration to us all.

 We will miss her dearly but take comfort in the fact that she is now in a better place, free from pain and suffering. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
