Terrence Flynn

October 22, 1955 — May 19, 2019

Fayetteville, NC

Terrence Michael Flynn passed away in his sleep on May 19, 2019; he was 63 years old.

Terrence was born on October 22, 1955 in Tampa, Florida.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Judge Roger Denis and Pauline Ethel Flynn, his aunt Stella Flynn and his younger brother Tim Flynn.

Terrence joined the Marine Corps in 1979 and proudly gave 22 active years but honored "Semper Fi" until the end.  He retired as a CW02 in Counter Intelligence.

He will be remembered for his "Luck of the Irish" pride, his stories of past tours and deployments, and his love for collecting all USMC memorabilia.  He was always very neat, organized and goal oriented.  He did not approve of procrastination and would always say "Why put off for tomorrow what you could do today".

He had had a heart of gold and loved to help others.  He also had a determination to surpass any limitations that he was given.  He used his fighting mentality from the military to endure multiple surgeries and medical issues.  He fought until the very end and set an example to those who knew him that it takes a lot to take down a marine.

He was a loving father, grandfather, husband, brother and fellow veteran.  He will be remembered by many and is survived by his wife of 34 years Sook, whom he married in March 1, 1985, his son Johnathan, his daughter Crystal, his son-in-law B. J., his granddaughter Lana aka "Little Grunt", and his older brother Roger.

The family will receive friends from 1200 to 1300 at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services in Hope Mills followed by a funeral service at 1400 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery 8220 Bragg Blvd in Fort Bragg.
