Thomas Patrick Hudson, 80 of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 in his home with family by his side.

Born September 7, 1942 in New York, NY, Thomas is the son of the late John and Isabella Hudson. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Yen Ngo Hudson; son, Thomas J. Hudson; sisters, Joan Quattlander and Margaret Smith; and brothers, John K. Hudson and Henry T. Hudson.

He is survived by his daughter, Lyly Ramirez; sons, James Tran, Robert Hudson and wife Jacqueline, and John T. Hudson and wife Kim; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; “adopted daughter”, Tachi, and a host of other family and friends.

Honorably serving over 23 years in the U.S. Army, Thomas retired in November of 1984 as a Sergeant First Class. He specialized in satellite communications during his military career and was the recipient of numerous awards and medals including the Vietnam Service Medal and Cross of Gallantry, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Bronze Star. He was also a dedicated lifetime member of the VFW and the DAV.

Thomas was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Silence claimed its place in the day, as your time here slowly fades away. Tears of sadness weighs heavily in our hearts, as the essence of life rise and sets your Soul to part. You surrender to the lighted path beyond, to finally meet Yin to complete Yang.

The Sun, slowly bows to end the day and the crickets set their music in play. The Night air whisper to the sky, bring out the brightest stars and push the clouds aside. Let this gentle soul ascend to the heavens, to finally be with the Love of his Life.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607, or the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516
