Vickie Winstead

Vickie Horne Winstead, 70 of Fayetteville, passed away January 16, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Hoke Hospital.  Born in Cumberland County, she is the daughter of the late Walter and Mavis Horne.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years,  Terry Winstead; a son, Tony Wayne Winstead and wife Allison; a daughter, Pam Pounders and husband Larry; 4 grandchildren, Anthony Michael Winstead, Blake Pounders and wife Carisa, Jonny Pounders and wife Kendall,  and Ciera Hess and husband Marc; 6 great grandchildren, Austin, Ethan, Chesney, Madison, Charlotte and Gabe.

Mrs. Winstead graduated from Massey Hill High School in 1968.  She was a member of Northview Baptist Church.  She was affectionately known as “Mama” by all of her “adopted” children.  She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
