Virginia Poole

Virginia Eileen Poole, 87 of Hope Mills, NC, passed away on February 21, 2023.

Born in Colorado, Virginia is the daughter of the late Samuel and Viola DiSalvo. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Herman Poole, Sr.; daughter, Cheryl Voelz; and siblings, Betty Jean, Benedito, Clara Louise, and William Dino DiSalvo.

She is survived by her son, James Poole, Jr.; daughter, Judith Lynn Colley; son, Jeffrey Ray Poole and wife Terra; sister, Marlene West; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.

Virginia was the original owner of Gray’s Creek Restaurant, along with her husband James. She was very crafty and enjoyed making and selling peek-a-boo dolls, flowers, and numerous other items. Virginia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
