Wade Guy

Wade Fletcher Guy, 96, of Hope Mills, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020.

Born in Robeson County, Wade is the son of the late Grover and Fannie Guy. He was also preceded in death by his wife Frances Guy; daughter, Debbie Barnes; and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his children, Wade R. Guy, Ricky Guy, Roy Guy and wife Cheryl, and Carol Johnson and husband Carl; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.

Wade was a retired SGT with the U.S. Army in which he served over 22 years. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. After retiring, Wade worked as a security guard for Holiday Inn, FTI, and Dupont. He loved working outside and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
