Mr. David Dale Dever, 80 of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 in his home surrounded by family.
Born April 20, 1941 in Brookfield, MO he is the son of the late Noel and Rachel Dever. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Nancy Louise Dever; daughter, Dawn Dell Connell; brothers, John, Harold, and Marion “Pee Wee” Dever; and sister, Marietta Bowley.
David honorably served his country as an Aviation Structural Mechanic in the U.S. Navy for 20 years and 18 days before retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. During his military career, he was the recipient of several awards and commendations.
David is survived by three daughters, Darlene Denise Dianaty (Hamid) of Fuquay Varina; Deloris Dee Dever of Fayetteville, and Deborah Diane Reding (David) of Fayetteville; 6 grandchildren, David Dale Dever II (Andrea), Christina Marie Slocum (John), Kyria Alysa Phillips (Donald), Noel Alexander Reding, Joseph Lee Connell, and Graham Dianaty; 4 great grandchildren, Morgan Haley Coleman, Isabella Rose Dever, Rachel Elizabeth Louise Slocum, and David Dale Dever III; brother, Carl Eugene Dever (Lynn) of IL; son-in-law, Clint Wayne Connell; and a host of other family members and friends.
David was loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, and friend who greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and he will deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
