David Preston Johnson, Jr.

David Preston Johnson, Jr., 77 of Fayetteville, passed away on January 16, 2023.

Born in Cumberland County, David was the son of the late David Preston Johnson, Sr. and Beula Strickland Johnson. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Wayne Johnson; and sister, Doris Lee Jacobson.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Faye Pittman of Fayetteville; sister, Margaret Stephens of Fayetteville; sister, Lois Britt and husband Jim of St. Pauls; brother, Donald C. Johnson and wife Diane of Gray’s Creek; brother, Terry Ray Johnson of Fayetteville; children, Alvin C. Carter and Samantha Dow; grandchildren, Noah Dow and Ian Dow; several nieces and nephews; Vicki Teague Johnson; and a host of other family members and friends.

David will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
