On Monday, January 18, 2021, Debbie Rene Munn Phillips Hayes, of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away unexpectedly at the age of 66.  Debbie was born to the late Matthew and Helen Munn on December 9, 1954 in Asheville, North Carolina.

Debbie raised four beautiful children that she shared with former spouse, Roger Phillips, Sr.. In 1985 Debbie married Edward Hayes, lll and remained happily settled in Fayetteville, NC for more than thirty years.  Debbie was a loving mother and wife and found joy in helping others.  She was a prayer warrior who loved deeply and strongly and has changed countless lives throughout her lifetime.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Edward Hayes, lll; her children, Roger Phillips, Jr. of Burnsville, NC, Holly Phillips Inscore of Bristol, TN, Brian Phillips of Green Mountain, NC and Laura Phillips of Fayetteville, NC; her grandchildren, Roger Phillips, lll, Matthew Phillips, Michael Phillips, Ella Inscore and Eden Inscore; her siblings, Randy Munn of Candler, NC and Sondra Munn Washam of Gastonia, NC; her former spouse, Roger Phillips, Sr.; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her father, Matthew Munn; her mother, Helen Munn; her brothers, Barry Munn and Gary Munn.

A committal service will be held at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC for spouse and children only.  A celebration of life service will be held in the summer of 2021 for all to attend.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Harvest Baptist Church 5504 McPhail Street Hope Mills, NC 28348.
