Linda Lewis

Linda Burkett Lewis, 68, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, October 30, 2020 in her home with family by her side.

Born June 28, 1952 in Ouachita Parish, LA, Linda was the daughter of the late Herbert and Carolyn Burkett.

Growing up in Louisiana, Linda sought to chase her dreams of finding a new place, which led her to North Carolina. Later in life, she would be diagnosed with stage 4 liver and kidney failure. No matter what was in front of her, Linda faced it with the faith and love of God. She lived each day full of travel and adventure. She loved her plants, working in her garden, and getting down and dirty with her family riding ATVs. Her family was her life, and she loved them with every breath she had. Simply put, Linda loved life and people, She always lived with a smile on her face and had a heart of gold. Linda fought for four long years with the hope to stay with her family, but in the end God knew He needed another angel, so He called her home.

She is survived by her daughter, Kilee Lewis; daughter, Cara Lewis; grandsons, Colby Lewis, Gabe Lewis, Tyler Griffin, and Brantlee Clark; granddaughter, Cami Griffin; brother, Jeffery Burkett; nephew, Jared Burkett and his wife Alisha; niece, Ashley Blackmon; and her furry companion, Lucy Lu.

Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
