Martha Jane Wright (Vance), born October 11, 1944 in Rockwood, Tennessee, departed to Heavens Paradise July 24, 2021, at the age of 76. Martha left this world in her home surrounded by her family.

Martha was preceded in death by her Father: Oliver Carl Vance; Mother: Oweda Edith (Phillips) Vance; Brother: Carl Wayne Vance; Husband: Bobby Ray Wright Sr.; Brothers: Ronald L. Parker, Willie L. Wright, and Leonard D. Wright.

Martha is survived by her children: Bobby R. Wright Jr. and wife Sandra of Lumberton, N.C.; Donna J. Wright and wife Marjorie of North Port, FL; Michael A. Wright and wife Jennifer of Fayetteville N.C.; her brother Danny A. Wright of Hope Mills, N.C.; and her sister Brenda K. Vance of Concord, N.C.

She is also survived by her Grandchildren: Carrie J. Joyner and husband David of Fayetteville, N.C., Bobby R. Wright III of Fayetteville, N.C., Margaret A. Wright of Fayetteville, N.C., Skylar DeLong and wife Morgan of Hope Mills, N.C., Landon DeLong of Fayetteville N.C., Cameron Owens and Tyler Burns of Lumberton, N.C.

Her gifts to this world included being a wonderful loving wife, mother, Nana, sister, and Aunt. Her primary professional contribution was her devotion to proving compassionate medical Nursing care.

Martha was a strong advocate in her religious beliefs. Her strongest wish was that everyone would come to know God and feel his love. She loved going on missionary trips to Belize and Guatemala and founding of the Arron Lake Baptist Church backpack ministry.

Martha loved life, had a special place in her heart for God, her family, and others in need. Her greatest enjoyment was time spent with her children and grandchildren. She made many personal sacrifices to ensure those she loved did not do without. Simply put, Martha was selfless and a gentle soul.

Visitation will be held on Thursday July 29, 2021, from 12 noon to 1:30 pm at Arran Lakes Baptist Church, 1130 Bingham Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304, following from 1:30 to 2:30 will be a memorial service, followed by burial at Lafayette Memorial Park West, 6701 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304 at 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, Martha has requested donations be made to Arran Lakes Baptist Church Backpack Ministry.
