Patricia Tornblom

Patricia Ann Tornblom, 80 of Hope Mills, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at her residence with her family by her side.

Pat was born in Laurinburg, NC and was the daughter of the late Claude Sweatt and Minnie Davis Sweatt.

Pat is survived by her husband, Dick Tornblom; her four sons and their families, Mike and Dawn; Tim and Linda; Phil and Debbie; Patrick and Gerry; and her daughter, Christina and Daryl.  Her many grandchildren, Shannon, Brittany, Haley, Nicole, Savannah, Allison, Dana, Jackie, Sandra, Phillip, Katie, Abby, Sarah, Megan, Emily, John, Caitlyn, and Erin; 20 great grandchildren; Her sister, Roni Sweatt Taylor and her husband Walt; and last but certainly not least, her furry Pomeranian companion, Jacob.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dot; and brothers, Tom and Tyrone and her first husband and father to her children Bob Holzer.

Over the years, life led Pat and her family to many different places around the world including Panama and Okinawa. Although they lived in many places in the US, she always felt most at home in North Carolina. Her passion and the job she most loved was interior design. Pat felt she was born with an eye for design and always loved making beautiful places from the simplest of things. No matter where in the world she lived, her home was always beautiful.

In her youth, Pat loved to read. From the second grade and throughout her life she was an avid reader, reading two or three books a week and enjoying each one as though it was her first. She was also always on the computer and stayed in contact with her family through text and Facebook. She loved to see the pictures of her family and was always a part of what they were involved in. Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, companion, and friend who enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family as often as she could. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
