Phyllis Johnson

Phyllis Pauline Connell Johnson, daughter of the late William Morris and Ila Mae Connell, was born July 13, 1952 on post at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She was a graduate of Hope Mills High School and moved to Oklahoma in 1971, where she started her family and lived most of her life.

Phyllis was a dedicated employee for several companies as she raised her son. She retired from Wal-Mart in Midwest City, Oklahoma as a service member.

Phyllis quietly departed this life on April 27, 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, dear grandmother, Pauline Belle Bridges Connell; and two brothers, Ed and Bill Turner.

She is survived by son, Travis Johnson, and his wife, Janet; grandson, Robert Johnson; aunt, Annie Ruth Miller; brother, Pete Connell and his wife, Elizabeth; and sister-in-law, Linda Turner.

Phyllis loved deep and made family out of friends wherever her path led. Her warm heart and giving spirit will forever be cherished in the lives of those who knew her.

The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center ICU team for the outstanding care and support provided.
