Randolph (Randy) Gillmore

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Randolph (Randy) Russell Gillmore of Eastover. He passed away at age 65 on August 10, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his father William Edgar Gillmore, and mother Deloris Strickland. He is also preceded by his beloved wife, Lynn Gillmore and nephew David Marshall Gainey Jr. (Little Man).

Randy is survived by a daughter, Lisa Lloyd Williams and husband David; a son, Jerry Allen Lloyd and wife Lisa; two sisters, Lois McAllister and husband Rocky, and Terry Croom; a brother, Kenny Gillmore and wife Edith; 4 grandchildren, Chase and Tripp Lloyd and Brock and Rylan Williams, and 2 nieces and 3 nephews.

He enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 17.

Randy loved going surf fishing or pier fishing with his wife. He was at Black & Decker for 28 years and Goodyear for 15 years and had recently retired from Goodyear. He was the one everyone went to when the machinery needed repair. He enjoyed his work and the many friends he made throughout his career.

He was also a proud graduate of Clown School and loved sharing his talents at parades, festivals, and his grandchildren’s birthday parties.

Randy was a person who spread joy and happiness wherever he went. He loved his family and friends and adored his grandchildren, greatly influencing them with his love and knowledge.
