Rebecca Louise Murasky, 48 of Fayetteville, NC took her last breath and died peacefully finishing her earthly journey and went to join family and friends at Heaven’s Gate on September 19, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.
Rebecca was born January 10, 1973 in Fayetteville, NC to Johnny and Carolyn Murasky. She was the baby of her family; grew up in Fayetteville; and graduated from Douglas Byrd Senior High School. She attended and graduated Miller Mott College in Fayetteville, NC. She was employed with Hope Mills Urgent Care where she worked as a Medical Assistant.
Rebecca was a proud, devoted mother and is survived by her two daughters, Briana Blue and Michaela Murasky, both of Fayetteville, NC. The absolute pride and joy of her heart and snuggle buddies were her two grand babies, Kayden Blue and Emeriee McCall.
She leaves behind the love of her life and fiancé, Girardeau Sylvon “Von” Thomas.
She is survived by her loving mother, Carolyn; brothers, Bruce and Larry; sisters, Shawn and Serena; nephew, Justin; nieces, Shirley, Stevie, Amanda and Alysa; 2 great nephews, Raoh and Tyler, and 2 great nieces, Kailey and Karleigh; all of her cousins, aunts and uncles; and friends that became family.
She is preceded in death by her daddy, Johnny Sr.; brother, John Jr., and sister, Deborah.
Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Fiancée and Friend, Rebecca’s life was not always easy she had many struggles, heartaches and disappointments, but she faced them all head-on with incredible strength with the love and support of family and special close friends, which she considered as sisters. She was the rock, the glue, the shoulder, and the person many depended on. Now we will listen for her laughter and whispers in the wind, feel her tears in the rain, see her smile in the sun, and will love and miss her deeply until we meet again.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services of Hope Mills followed by a balloon releasing ceremony at Hope Mills Lake.
