Richard Mcleod

On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, Richard Maceo McLeod, loving husband and father of two children, went to his heavenly home at age 88.

Born September 29, 1932 in Mt. Vernon, NY, Richard was the son of the late William and Corinne (Champen) McLeod. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Leila McLeod; son, Richard McLeod; brother, William McLeod; and sisters, Sandra and Marsha McLeod.

Richard’s duty in the Armed Forces began in 1952. During this time, he met the love of his life, Leila Marie (Jackson), while they both were serving in the United States Air Force. Together they raised their twin sons, Richard and Rodney. After receiving an honorable discharge from the military in 1956,  he led a successful career as a computer technician.

Richard’s passion for music was overwhelming, He had a love for all instruments, with his favorite of all being the piano. He faithfully loved the Lord, and enjoyed taking long walks, bowling, baseball, and being around his family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Rodney McLeod, and brothers, Eugene and James McLeod.
