Robert Hunt

Robert Allen Hunt, better known as Meatball, 61 of Bladenboro, passed away on November 27, 2022.

Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, Robert is the son of the late Dover Neil Hunt and Uneeda Locklear Hunt. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Marsha Ortiz; wife, Helen Louise Hunt; and son-in-law, Stephen Smith.

Robert is survived by his son, Robbie Hunt and fiancé Holly; daughter, Beth Smith; grandchildren, Aaron Rogers, Mallorie Hunt, Kayleigh Smith, Kenzie Smith; brother, Robert Mitchell Hunt; brother, Jackie Neil Hunt; sister, Marilyn L. Bundas; brother, David E. Hunt; brother, Charles P. McCowan; several nieces and nephews; a host of family and friends; and his mixed terrier, Stella "Tater Tot" Hunt.

Robert proudly served in the U.S Army for several years receiving numerous badges and medals. Following his military career, he worked as a dock foreman for many years before becoming an over the road truck driver. During his spare time, he enjoyed building models and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
