Rosita Toves (Fegurgur) Hoffman

Rosita Fegurgur Hoffman, 62 of Hope Mills, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023.

Born in Sinajana, Guam, Rosita was the daughter of the late Felix S.N. and Maria Toves Fegurgur. She is also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Dolores Robinson, Jose, Teresita, Antonio, Jesse, Ricky Fegurgur, and Antonita Fegurgur Cabrito; father and mother-in-law, Ralph and Audrey Hoffman; brothers and sisters-in-law, David Quinene, Arlene M. Fegurgur, Gemma P. Mantanona, and John L. Erickson.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Hoffman; sons, Christopher and James; sisters, Annie Quinene, Elaine and Johnny Steen; brothers, Joaquin and Emily Fegurgur, Vincent and Aileen Mantanona; brother-in-law, Romy Cabrito; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Hoffman, Beatrice Hoffman, Barbara and John Milne, Ralph and Tammy Hoffman; grandchildren, Isabella Rose, Dominic James, Kailani Maria; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosita retired from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department in 2022. She loved to travel with her husband of 44 years. She was a loving mother not only to her sons, but like a mother to many others that she welcomed with open arms and the warmest smile. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart and truly meant the world to her. Rosita was a caring and wonderful wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed by those who heard her laugh and those who felt her love.
