Sherry Jo Jackson, 69, of Hope Mills, passed away peacefully Monday, December 7, 2020 surrounded by family.

Born July 24, 1951 in Cumberland County, Sherry is the daughter of the late Glenn Miller, Sr. and Betty Jo Ledford Miller.  Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Loyd “Bud” Jackson, Jr.

She is survived by a son, Loyd “Bud” Jackson III of Stedman; two daughters, Rebecca Jo Spencer and husband Bryan of Hope Mills and Mahera Abu-Seif of Gray’s Creek;  five grandchildren, Jayne Logan Spencer, Caleb Spencer, Landon Robinson, William Mason Smith, and Carlie Butler; siblings, Glenn Miller, Jr. and wife Polly, Janice Griffin, Marlene Porter, Charles Miller and wife Kerry, Terry Miller and wife Peggy, Shirley Smith and husband Ricky.

Sherry was a very loving and caring person who greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She served as a Board Member of the Friends of the Cancer Center and the Ribbon Walk.

In lieu of flowers, nothing would make Sherry more happy than continued support to a cause dear to her heart.  You may send memorials to: “Friends of the Cancer Center”, Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation, P. O. Box 87526, Fayetteville, NC  28304-9977, in her memory.

Sherry will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
