Stephen Moore

Stephen Brett Moore, 42 of Hope Mills, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020.

Born and raised in Cumberland County, Brett was a graduate of Southview High School. He worked for many years as a distributor and merchandiser for several grocery stores in the area. Brett had an enduring love for playing and coaching baseball. He was an avid golf player and was a diehard fan of the Dallas Cowboys. In his spare time, he enjoyed grilling and spending time with his family.

Brett is survived by his wife, Wendy Moore; children, Stephen Chase Moore, Angelina Moore, and Connor Moore; father, Stephen Lee Moore; mother, Robin Williams Runion; brother, Travis Moore; and a host of other family members and friends.

Brett was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Please join the family for an informal celebration of life at one of Brett’s favorite places to be, the ball field. The family strongly encourages anyone who wishes to say a few words or share things about Brett to please feel welcomed. They also request that you bring your favorite story or memory written down. There will be a box to place it in for the family to have as keepsakes to treasure and read as time goes on.

Masks are required and social distancing is a must.
